CSA - Fruit

What you can expect to get in your fruit share:

Support Colorado's best local fruit orchards through our fruit CSA! Enjoy the bounty of Colorado's orchards: Fruit shares may include delicious apples, ciders, tomatoes, pears, apricots, peaches, plums, cherries, and/or more! The early summer forecast (as Mother Nature allows) may include sweet locally produced ciders, juices, fruit cups, pie cherries and sweet cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, melons, plums, pears, and apples. October brings in Colorado apple season, and we focus on bringing you a different variety every week. The last few weeks are apple varieties that store well and are perfect for keeping  through the holidays. The apricot and cherry crop was hit hard with difficult weather this spring, however, we want to make sure our members still recieve apricots and cherries, and this may mean partnering with organic farms from the northwest.

Heirloom Tomatoes in my fruit share??

Yes! That's right! You can expect the surprise of some deliciously juicy and flavorful heirloom tomatoes at some point in your fruit share! Tomatoes are a fruit.  To add diversity, flavor, and seasonal interest to your fruit shares we've decided to share our tomato harvest with you! Tomatoes have seemingly endless uses (as much as your culinary creativity will allow), and are great sliced, in salads, and made into sauces and used in soups!

Some important notes about your fruit share:

Please note that this share is not a fruit basket - some weeks you might only receive one type of fruit.

The full delivery season* is approximately 22 weeks long and begins mid July and ends in December.

Check your email for newsletters with details on fruit share dates and descriptions of shares as the time for deliveries nears. If the length of the fruit share season is altered by weather events, or cut short in any way, we will do our best to compensate by adding to the quantity and/or variety of other weeks.

How much does it cost?

Single Fruit Share: $360 (about $16.36/week)

Double Fruit Share $660 (about $30/week)

Where does my fruit come from?

In addition to our 12 acre orchard here in Wellington Colorado, we partner with a variety of organic fruit orchards based in Colorado's beautiful Western Slope:

Big B’s
Leroux Creek
New Leaf
Black Bear
GypsyGreens
Kokopelli
Rancho Durazno
And more!

We take pride in supporting these orchards! Our CSA fruit share allows each orchard an added level of success to make it through the growing season, develop, and procure the resources to support future growing seasons. Each orchard is at the mercy of Mother Nature, so we always hope for the very best. We work with multiple orchards in order to ensure that our CSA members always get the best fruit possible.

We offer two sizes of the fruit share. Each week*, the fruit single receives one or two bags of fruit, the fruit double receives two to four bags. (*This is an average, and may vary from week to week, specifically due to weather related impacts on crops; please regularily check your email for specific instructions on quantities of fruit shares week to week.)
