Slice a pumpkin in half. Remove seeds and strings and cut into
¼ inch slices. Remove the skin and coat with flour, salt
and pepper. Heat oil in skillet. Add sage leaves and garlic. When
garlic is brown, remove sage.
Add pumpkin slices to skillet in a single layer. Cook 3 minutes
per side until brown and tender. Sprinkle with chopped chives and
basil. Serve with a cruet of balsamic or dark malt vinegar for dipping. |
